If you're a community organization who cannot afford legal assistance (including small businesses, innovators, non-profits, charities, artists and entrepreneurs), we provide free legal information and services, in-person or remotely. Our law students are supervised by practicing lawyers.
If you qualify financially, we can provide you with legal services in a rage of areas including public interest (through The Public Interest Law Centre), family law, immigration and refugee services, residential tenancies, child protection, mental health, government benefits and criminal law. Our staff and private bar lawyers regularily travel to over 40 communities surrounding major cities in Manitoba.
We offer legal and social services for economically and socially-disadvantaged community members, in partnership with students and volunteers. If you're struggling to find assistance with your income, you can visit our drop-in clinic for legal information, support and referrals to services that match your income.
If you're an artist or arts organization, we can provide you with pro bono legal information and services tailored directly to you, including copyright law, contracts and wills and estates, among others. The clinic is operated by law students at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law and supervised by experienced lawyers.
We offer free legal services to women, including domestic violence support and counselling, legal advice and information as well as legal representation and help preparing documentation.
If you're Muslim and looking for immigration support or document assistance, we are a not-for-profit organization offering support and resources to Winnipeg's expanding Muslim community. We offer 30 minute one-on-one legal clinics on a variety of topics, as well as links to legal resources across the province.
