We are an independent agency of the government of Manitoba, responsible for administering the Human Rights Code. If you are experiencing or have recently experienced discrimination, we can take your complaint and conduct an investigation to determine if there is enough evidence to warrant a hearing. We also offer mediation services throughout the process in an attempt to resolve the issue without a hearing.
We can help you and your family resolve issues in a safe, collaborative, fair, affordable and timely way. We offer information, tools, resources and referrals to more specialized services including dispute resolution.
If you're looking for an alternative solution to dispute resolution in the areas of non-profit business disputes, family disputes and community disputes, without the use of the court system—we can help. We offer multiple (and sometimes free) dispute resolution programs and webinars.
We work with victims and offenders on reserve in Fisher River Cree Nation, as well as community members and Elders to provide quality restorative justice and mediation services. We operate as an alternative to, or alongside, the formal court process.
